Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) has technology, engineering and program teams that educate and mentor colleagues to deliver leading Electronic Warfare capabilities. This role is the Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) for the Future Capabilities area within the F-35 Solutions Product Line of Electronic Combat Solutions. The PEL for Future Capabilities is the engineering lead for all Projects under the Future Capabilities portfolio. This includes having the Project Engineering Managers (PEMs) executing these projects directly reporting to the PEL. Future Capabilities focuses on Strategic New Business Capture and Development of EW Products for F-35 Solutions. This PEL role reports directly to the F-35 Solutions Product Line Engineering Lead. The Primary Responsibilities Of This Role Include
- Partner with and support the Product Area Director to develop and deliver products and systems that meet our customer needs
- Partner and collaborate across all the functions to effectively staff and support engineering across the portfolio
- Engineering focal point for all activity within the portfolio including strategic planning, bid and proposal support, engineering strategy, integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity management.
- Partner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, and operations to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achieved.
- Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope meets requirements, schedule, and budget

- Support technology transfer across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business
- Appropriately tailor and ensure compliance with the Engineering Process Framework and the ES Lifecycle Management Process
- Recruit, train, and develop Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) to meet business needs.
- Identify and support the development of critical skills and employees
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain Special Access clearances
- Bachelor's degree and Minimum 12 years of technical leadership experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging RF capabilities relevant to the business
- Experience leading new business captures and proposals
- Experience in engineering development and transition to production of complex electronic systems
- Aptitude for Agile Methodologies and Lean Product Development
- Project engineering management including organizational design, planning, estimating, design management, and product verification
- Demonstrated leadership skills (soft skills, strategic thinking, business acumen, building teams, building customer relationships).
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose, resolve complex problems and to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency.
- Proven written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams, functions, and other business units.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Current DOD Top Secret Clearance
- Previous job experience operating within a Special Access Program environment.
- Experience developing and delivering within a digital engineering ecosystem.
- Experience in Operational Analysis and Digital Performance Models
- Experience in Strategic Captures and the Business Winning Process, specifically Phase 0-1B
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
