For more information, visit affiniuscapital.com.Job DescriptionThe Real Estate Portfolio Management Analytics Vice President -or- Senior Vice President will manage Affinius Capital's analytical platform across its San Antonio-based global real estate equity and debt portfolio. The role resides within the Portfolio Management Analytics ( PMA ) group that supports portfolio managers, corporate, and regional offices. The role will manage the daily activities of the PMA team and ensure accurate and timely production of all analytical information for Affinius Capital's sponsored mandates, representing all property types, including industrial, multifamily, data centers, retail, and office, across the risk spectrum from ground-up development to core acquisitions.In addition to proven leadership and communication abilities, the successful candidate will possess experience working in Excel with large datasets, exceptional attention to detail, process and change management acumen, and the ability to work cross-functionally to produce proprietary tools capable of delivering accurate information that informs the strategic decision making for the business. This is a critical role that works closely with the Chief of Staff, regional team leads and members of Portfolio Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Development, and Corporate Finance.Essential Duties:
  • Oversee the daily activities of the PMA team-San Antonio, ensuring portfolio management, corporate, and investor analytical needs are being addressed in a timely and accurate manner. This includes overseeing recurring and ad-hoc production of all forward-looking portfolio cash-flows, sensitivities, scenarios, and related analytical requests.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of existing proprietary models and tools, supporting business processes, and necessary builds that ensure the platform's analytical requirements in San Antonio are being met. This requires the successful candidate to work professionally and productively with members of (i) IT who assist with model automation and connectivity to data sources, (ii) Asset Management and its Model Advisory Group who collectively act as primary user of investment models, (iii) members of PMA and portfolio managers who produce and use the fund and fund of fund models, and (iv) Corporate Finance and its Investor Service and Reporting and Performance Reporting teams that produce all track records and other corporate reporting.
  • Manage and mentor PMA-San Antonio team members, ensure adherence to operating best practices and company policies, and promote a team-culture of excellence while providing opportunities for individual and professional growth.
  • Develop and implement analytical strategies that align with portfolio management and firm-wide objectives and risk-tolerance.
  • Help design and implement reporting solutions that meet the needs of business consumers, including portfolio managers, development heads, investors and corporate leadership by leveraging existing PowerBI capabilities and exploring alternative reporting solutions at the appropriate time.
  • Embrace team-oriented culture and exercise partnership skills in liaising with stakeholders across departments and regional offices.
  • Coordinate with members of the Compliance team to establish and maintain necessary disclosures around analytical work product.
  • Additional duties as assigned.Requirements
    • Bachelors degree from an accredited university, preferably with an emphasis in a quantitative field of study, such as Finance, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
    • 5+ years of relevant experience managing analytical platforms and team members, preferably in private equity real estate.
    • Advanced proficiency and proven experience in Excel (macros, VBA, advanced formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data simulations).
    • Attention to detail is a must, as are strong leadership and communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
    • Strong organizational skills are required.
    • Thought leader, capable of guiding innovation and continuous improvement in the production of Affinius Capital's analytical capabilities.
    • Willing to work onsite, full-time.
