Job Description:
Post-Doctoral Fellow at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, United States

Join the Hemostasis and Immunity Lab at Harvard School of Dental Medicine to conduct cutting-edge research on the reciprocal relationship between the hemostatic and inflammatory systems in mucosal tissues. Utilize animal models and molecular biology techniques to explore the role of hemostatic factors in inflammatory regulation, with a focus on periodontology and mucosal immunopathologies.

Mucosal barrier sites play a critical role in maintaining the balance between protection from infection or injury and pathological inflammation. The Hemostasis and Immunity Lab, led by Dr. Silva, investigates the intricate interplay between the hemostatic and inflammatory systems in mucosal tissues. Our current focus lies in understanding the role of hemostatic factors in inflammatory regulation, particularly in the oral mucosa and other mucosal barrier sites.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate with expertise in animal (mice) models and cell and molecular biology techniques. The successful candidate will contribute to funded projects aimed at elucidating the mechanisms by which hemostatic factors modulate inflammatory responses in mucosal tissues. Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and a willingness to acquire new skills are essential.

How to Apply:

Interested candidates should contact Dr. Lakmali Silva at ...@hsdm.harvard.edu.
