DescriptionPosition Summary: The Post-Harvest Manager will oversee all plant drying, trimming, curing, and packaging at the cultivation facility. The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for all outputs and management of the post-harvest team, including defining duties and workflow in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include managing the operations and resources within both trim and package on a daily basis. Essential Job Functions:
  • Active participant on the Site Leadership Team
  • Create and manage tools for the oversight of the post-harvest team functions
  • Monthly, weekly, and daily oversight and understanding of the required and expected resources across the department, as well as streamlined communication when modifications are made
  • Constant communication with Leads regarding the assigned resources for the month, as well as fluid communication regarding the dissemination of goals for the month, week, and days
  • Provide guidance to Leads to fully execute their daily objectives and processes
  • Ensure all compliance regulations are met and exceeded across the entire department
  • Ensure all tasks and processes can and are being completed in a safe environment for all team members
  • Comprehensive understanding of all tracking systems such as Metrc and Dutchie for product ID's, compliance labels, tags, and packages etc
  • Daily communication with the management team on outputs, goals, adjustments, issues, and forecasting in each area of the post-harvest team
  • Ownership of the monthly flower evaluation sheet(s) distributed as the basis of sales. This includes evaluating and adjusting next month's resources (labor) in a way that best optimizes our output for both trim and packaging departments
  • Constant evaluation of existing resources within the department, in conjunction with forecasting outputs, to determine when additional resources should be hired
  • Guide post-harvest team in drying, trimming, curing, packaging, waste disposal, and logging of plant material
  • Direct the post-harvest schedules and production plan to prioritize and guide product through the process while adhering to Standard Wellness quality measures
  • Ensure proper plant tracking and batching/packaging for the post-harvest team. This role serves as the first check for the Packaging Leads packaging totals and tag changes in Metrc
  • Track and evaluate performance and absenteeism of all team members, providing penalty points and disciplinary action when necessary
  • Oversight of inventory control as it relates to bulk curing vault inventory tracking and auditing
  • Constant oversight of flower within the building - Mobius processing, trim processing, out for testing, awaiting testing, testing completed and what needs to be packaged, etc.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of the post-harvest team and monthly goals, and responsible for presenting said results during the monthly Business Reviews. This includes creation of all slides, brainstorming on new and better ways to evaluate our team, and transparency on issues and potential solutions to problems
  • Provides constant leadership and a positive attitude to all team members and peers
  • Ownership of the harvest allocation sheet, both for trim schedules within the post-harvest team and in collaboration with the MIP for flower to be transferred
  • Follow all General Agricultural Practices, General Handling Practices, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Establish and maintain sanitation practices for staff, equipment, and facilities
  • Drives a ZERO tolerance housekeeping mindset
  • Coordinates with Facility Maintenance Manager to schedule maintenance and repairs of equipment
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Qualifications:Required:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on manufacturing or supply chain, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience
  • Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Preferred:
  • Prior cannabis cultivation or production experience, ideal
  • Experience with inventory tracking
