Posting DetailsPosition Information Job Title Postal Service & Print Shop Supervisor Position Type Staff Job Description The Post Office & Print Shop Supervisor manages the daily operations of the campus post office and print shop, ensuring compliance with USPS regulations and providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include sorting and distributing mail, managing postage and mailing systems, supervising staff and student workers, maintaining budgets, and overseeing inventory for print and mailing supplies. The position requires strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to lift packages. Supervisory and customer service experience are preferred.This role supports campus operations by facilitating efficient mail and print services and contributing to a positive campus environment.Essential Duties Summary Postal Operations:
- Maintain compliance with USPS regulations.
- Sign for all accountable mail and ensure proper sorting and distribution, including campus mail.
- Write notification cards and obtain signatures for packages.
- Sell stamps, money orders, and provide customer assistance.
- Weigh and meter outgoing mail; charge departments for postage usage and run daily postage reports.
- Manage inventory of postage stamps and coordinate stamp destruction when necessary.
- Order and maintain supplies for postage meter and office operations.
- Issue and close post office boxes for students and departments, maintaining accurate records.
- Separate, forward, and return mail per USPS guidelines.
- Prepare bulk mailings and adhere to Target Mail and safety regulations.
Financial & Administrative Duties:
- Complete daily financial reports (Form 1412-B) and deposit funds into USPS bank accounts.
- Ensure all outgoing mail is ready for daily pick-up by 2:30 pm.
- Submit monthly meter readings to Xerox.
- Manage paper stock orders and conduct an annual inventory of print shop supplies.
- Maintain budgets for both the Post Office and Print Shop operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise Post Office and Print Shop employees, including student workers.
Occasional Duties:
- Pick up mail at Southern Hills at 7:30 am as needed.
- Provide coverage for the Print Shop as necessary.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned by the Vice President of Finance & Administration
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to lift packages and boxes.
