Brief Description of Duties:Stony Brook University is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work in the research laboratory of Dr. Wali Karzai. The successful candidate will participate in a collaborative research project to determine the structure and mechanism of ATP-dependent proteases that regulate protein quality control. The incumbent will conduct research and ensure that all experiments are appropriately conducted following the policies and procedures of Stony Brook University. DUTIES: Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, carry out experiments and other research activities following the research goals of the lab. Collect and analyze data for reporting experimental results in scientific publications. Assist with training of other lab members in specialized scientific techniques. Participate in weekly lab meetings presenting research data. Other duties as assigned, which may include attending and presenting research results at Scientific Conferences and Meetings.
