A full-time postdoctoral research fellow position is available ASAP in the laboratory of Dr. Paul Hoover at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Our lab investigates the roles of macrophages in kidneys and other tissues affected by autoimmune conditions, particularly lupus, utilizing human samples and murine models through single-cell analyses, spatial technologies, and cellular immunology.
About the Role:
Engage in research projects aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms driving tissue damage and repair in autoimmunity, including in vitro and in vivo screening approaches focused on macrophage roles in the kidneys using primary human cells or mouse models. Collaborate with lab members to develop mechanistic insights that could translate into improved outcomes for patients with autoimmune disease.
