We manufacture and deliver custom-made vanities and countertops to our customers in the kitchen and bath industry. Our products include laminate and postform countertops, solid surface countertops, and cultured marble vanity tops. We currently have an opening for an experienced Postform Fabricator Tech to join our Solid Surface Department. We are looking for someone who has experience in countertop fabrication. This is a full-time permanent role. Pay Rate is $17.00 - $20.00/hr., based on qualifications and experience. Overtime may be available at certain time periods.JOB DESCRIPTION:Job Summary: Responsible for fabrication of Postform tops according to work orderEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receive and inspect postform blanks when delivered warehouse personnel should assist. Study and interpret work order. Interpret measurements, verify specifications. Pull blanks and caps checking work order number and laminate color. Make sure blanks are free of scratches and defects. Prepare blanks for cutting on the postform saw. Cut blanks to specifications on the work order. Place cut pieces on horses and apply build-up to the areas required. Apply glue to edges that require caps and the edges of the tops. Apply and press glued up caps where specified. Trim the caps with a laminate router file top, sand bottom flush and clean the tops. If required prepare tops for assembled miter, by gluing, T-bolting and assembling the miter. Make sure the deck is flush and tight then apply the splice plate over the miter on the underside. Ensure all additional services are completed such as cut outs, and dishwasher seals. Clean and package tops and place items in racks for delivery. When orders are complete proceed to solid surface and assist with open orders. Report any shortages, backorders, and damage to supervisor or manager to ensure the issues are taken care of. Tend to equipment to ensure is it clean, free of debris and in good working order. Listen to instructions from supervisor. Resolve production and assembly issues. Ensure work area is clean and safe. Report low stock to supervisor. Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

One year of verifiable production experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Read a tape measure to the 1/16th. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Most work is performed in the assembly area in a typical manufacturing setting.
