About the Role

The Posting Clerk facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Analytical Skills/EOB interpretation.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Specialty posting (PCP, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Urology, Dermatology, etc.).
  • ERA posting – Payments and denials.
  • EOB posting.
  • Excellent quality of work.
  • Website Navigation.
  • Professional Work Ethics.
  • An open line of communication with the Posting Department Manager.
  • Available for OT as needed including Saturdays.

Major Duties:

  • Daily Posting of payments/refunds/adjustments to designated Practices in date assigned order via ERA and manual EOB batches.
  • Ensure payment is posted according to contract guidelines.
  • Posting (ERA Rejections, PLB, refunds) Complete assigned projects as needed.
  • Balancing Daily posted work.
  • Ensure all department information and workflow procedures are kept confidential.
  • Use an internal batch tracking system to document assigned ERA/EOB status.
  • Use an internal document retrieval system to retrieve EOB batches for manual posting.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Education, Experience, Skills and Requirements

  • Preferred 1-2 years' medical payment posting experience preferred
  • Analytical Skills and clerical skills.
  • Excellent Organizational skills.
  • Excellent Verbal and written Communication Skills preferred.
  • Internet Navigation.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Adobe, and Word document
  • Meeting work schedule demands.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Available to work extended hours including Saturdays (when/if needed).
  • Experience of ECW and/or Intergy a plus
  • Must be available to work onsite first 90 days, remote transition to follow based on

90 Day Performance Evaluation results.
