Poultry Electrical Maintenance TechnicianJob Details: This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and providing technical support for machine systems while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Filet of Chicken policies and procedures. The electrician is in charge of the testing, implementation, and controls of all new and existing electrical systems in the plant, water treatment area, and all external buildings; overseeing all electrical changes that take place on site.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily maintenance of poultry production plant equipment, and facilities.
- Knowledge and experience with trouble shooting three wire circuits.
- Record and document maintenance daily and routinely.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.
- Rebuild equipment as requested.
- Self-starter with ability to work with little to no supervision.
- All other duties and projects as needed.
- Good work record and team player.
Environment:
- Cold, damp, wet environment with temperatures ranging from 30- 45 degrees.
Physical Demands:
- Exposure to noise levels greater than 85 decibels.
- Heavy lifting.
- Bend, stoop, and lift various weights as needed.
- Climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
- Exposure to strong, raw and foul odors.
- Bending, twisting, stacking, pushing and standing for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity of hands and wrists.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years Industrial Maintenance and Electrical Controls experience. Preferably in the poultry industry.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Training beyond high school includes either an associate degree in electronic technology or closely related technical field preferred or a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trade programs as applicable preferred.
