Job Description:
Overview US Premier Tube Mills (USPTM) is a leading and growing domestic supplier of residential galvanized and powder coated pipe dedicated to quality, on-time delivery, and excellent customer service. USPTM has an immediate opportunity for a Powder Coating Supervisor. This position will lead and coordinate activities of team members to ensure that production requirements, performance goals, and improvement objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will establish operational procedures, along with continuous improvement culture. This is a hand's on leadserhip role, direct involvement in the operational process will be required. USPTM is focused on our people - our most important resource.   • Train designated personnel on powder system operations and the various components
  • Leads and manages all aspects of the powder coating department operations
  • Provide direction in the resolution of technical and production related problems to assure completions of schedule
  • Supervise team members in a manner that fosters a safe work environment and self-directed team approach
  • Maintains system as required to ensure uninterrupted process
  • Performs preventative maintenance per schedules as required
  • Accountable for operations and maintenance of powder coating system in accordance with production requirements
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Optimize powder line quality and productivity in concert with supply and demand
  • Maintains high quality standards for all powdered products
  • Maintains an efficient and effective washing system
  • Notifies quality of defects
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Performs other duties as required
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of powder coating, automated powder coating lines
  • 5+ years' experience in powder coating
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities
  • Must be able to read and understand powder coating specifications, general assembly/ shop drawings
  • 2+ years' experience with ERP utilization
