We are presently seeking a Powder Coat Painters in our Roanoke, IL facility.Have you ever worked for a company that:Has not had a layoffOffers BenefitsOffers OTContinues to growOpportunity for advancement We would love to talk to you about becoming part of the TEAM!!Job TaskThe incumbent applies powder coat paint techniques to components as specified by written instructions, schedules and drawings; and inspects completed work for conformance to specifications.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReads and interprets specifications or work orders to determine unit or piece(s) to be paintedRolls, lifts or maneuvers pieces onto and off of paint cart; Moves Cart through the production process stationsEnsures pieces are prepared for coating by protecting parts with heat resistant tapeExercises care to prevent paint from being applied to undesired surfacesSets and adjusts paint spray nozzle and directs paint spray onto desired surfacesApplies powder coat to parts using proper equipmentVisually inspects painted parts according to quality specificationsOperates washing and curing oven to ensure proper adhesionManages hooks, racks and load bars for burn off Cleans and maintains spray booth, production line and preparation areaMay assist in changing paint booth filters as requiredTroubleshoots and reworks pieces that fail testsPerforms all work in accordance with established standards and safety proceduresMaintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materialsParticipates in training and cross-training efforts as neededOther duties as assignedREQUIRED JOB SKILLSPowder paint application techniques and equipment experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to read written procedures and understand work ordersDemonstrated knowledge of adhesion and proper preparation of substrateKnowledge of curing oven operationsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred but not required.QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrated high level of quality in workmanshipBasic math, reading, and reasoning skillsAbility to communicate effectively, written and oralDemonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructionsDemonstrated multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needsHigh attention to detail; ability to visually inspect parts Ability to work independently or with a teamsupervisory responsibilities This position does not include supervisory responsibilitiesphysical demands/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch Regularly required to stand for long periods of timeArm-Hand Steadiness ' The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.Manual Dexterity ' The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
