Job Position: Powder-Coat Painter Lead Location: Lake Zurich, IL 60047 Pay Rate: $52k/year Description:
- Lead Lead the Powder Coating Department ensuring optimized output
- Mentor powder coating staff and train staff on maintenance, cleanliness best practices
- Responsible for a full range of specialized painting projects per customer and/or management request.
- Prepare and powder a variety of surfaces including steel, aluminum and other shop coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories and other surfaces specified.
- Apply protective powder coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork.
- Must maintain equipment (preventative maintenance), and work in a safe manner.
- Responsible for the storage and proper disposal of paint products.
- Must be able to operate various tools and equipment necessary with powder-coating.
- Maintaining and assisting with the overall cleanliness of the production area including mopping floors, trash clean up, scrap material preparation, taking out garbage, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Assisting in the unloading of trucks including boxes and light poles that will require team lifting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in powder-coating is required.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot powder coating machines to remain at optimal performance
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Able to lift 50 pounds independently.
