Duties: - Assist the Production Lead in daily operations pertaining to the powder coating facility.
- Accurately record daily powder usage.
- Assist in masking, hanging, and removal of parts.
- Assist in packaging and transfer of finished goods to the shipping department.
- Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the quality manual and procedure level documentation.
- Participate actively and positively in ownership thinking and Lean activities.
- Assist in manufacturing when necessary.
- All other duties assigned.
Skills: - One year powder finishing application with knowledge in electrostatic charging corona, powder coating material chemistries & cure schedules, and metals materials and pretreatment process.
- Possess basic computer knowledge.
- Good math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment, as well as a tape measure.
- Good verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
- Manual dexterity.
- Willing to work hours needed to complete jobs.
- Use key quality measuring instruments to confirm paint thickness, gloss, and adhesion.
- Thorough knowledge of the various types of paint equipment.
- Able to work in shop environment: high noise level; exposure to dust, heat, and cold.
- Able to complete work with 75% standing, as well as some bending, squatting, twisting, and kneeling.
- Able to lift 50 to 75 pounds regularly.
- Normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and normal hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
