The primary result expected from the Powder Utility position is to accurately fill and weigh buckets with powdered resin. The Powder Utility position will be responsible for stocking the rotational molding machines with buckets of powdered resin and monitoring resin inventory for cross-contamination. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Reads bucket labels to accurately weigh the powdered resin according to part number.
  • Properly identifies the correct powdered resin as listed in the BOM.
  • Inspects powdered resin for cross-contamination and ensures gaylords are properly covered.
  • Ensures that buckets are continuously stocked for Machine Operators.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work area to avoid contamination.

  • This position is frequently required to stand and walk
  • It is necessary for this position to occasionally climb stairs throughout the day
  • Occasional stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders may be required
  • 10 to 20 lbs. frequent lifting
  • 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting
  • Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day to day functions
  • Must have the ability to work with and around others
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The main working environment for this position is the standard manufacturing plant environment. The plant environment is climate controlled in some areas, however, may include exposure to heat, cold, noise and odors. Personal protective equipment is required in appropriate areas. There may also be intermittent exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts and tool vibration. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual would encounter while performing the essential functions of this position.
