Job Description & Skill Requirement This individual will provide support within the Power Electronics team to: •Design and develop high voltage (HV) electrical systems for new vehicle designs •Perform technical analysis (including but not limited to DFMEA, safety analysis) •Manage changes to HV systems and components •Support existing vehicles in testing and in the field for quality issues and design updates •Support power electronics testing and calibration for systems and vehicles in development •Build state-of-the-art test facilities and develop efficient engineering processes to make the team's daily work efficient and enjoyable REQUIRED POSITION: •Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering •Skilled in basic electronics/circuit/power theory •Strong communication and organizational skills •Strong focus on working efficiently and meeting deadlines and commitments •bility to perform both hands-on and abstract/theoretical tasks •bility to work independently •bility to multitask in a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities •bility to learn complex skills and technologies quickly •High level of quality focus and customer support focus •Proficient in MS Office •Team-focused, positive attitude PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE •Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle or Electric Vehicle projects •OEM commercial vehicle or automotive experience •Power electronics bench testing, troubleshooting and validation •Test equipment programming (for example LabView, LabWindows, GPIB, Python or CANalyer) •High voltage safety requirements •High voltage test equipment •Resolution of difficult technical problems •Supplier management •uthoring complex test procedures and reports •Engineering change/version control •Engineering releases •Power electronics design experience: DC/AC inverters, DC/DC converters, power factor correction •Inverter and/or motor testing on dynamometers •utomated test system development •Engineering releases and change notices •Engineering quality processes, for example: Six Sigma, 8D, CPK, Ishikawa, Kepner-Tregoe •Safety engineering / DFMEA •Harness/cable/wiring design
