Job Description:
Context & EnvironmentTotalEnergies is looking for an intern in our Renewables department. As a Power Marketing Intern, you will support the origination team to deliver unique power solutions to consumers. These solutions could combine renewable energy, battery storage, dispatchable or flexible power generation, on-site renewable behind the meter solutions, and wholesale markets to monetize TotalEnergies' renewable energy. The ideal candidate would be able to work at least 30 hours per week in office.ActivitiesResponsibilities will include researching energy markets, analyzing data, preparing customer presentations, and supporting Request For Proposals (RFPs). In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and work with various teams in the renewables group, trading and the Flexible Power and Integration (FPI) department.
  • Monitor and forecast power price trends for various US energy markets.
  • Gather and analyze data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions to inform FPI's offtake strategy.
  • Prepare customer presentations and support meeting organization.
  • Assist in managing and updating Salesforce for tracking RFPs and marketing activities.
  • Support the development of marketing materials and responses to RFPs.
  • Assist in reviewing offtake term sheets and contracts.
  • Help establish and organize standard operating procedures for the team.
Candidate Profile
  • Current college senior, recent graduate and/or first year Master's student, in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong attention to detail that shows you care about your work.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective problem solving, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities.
  • Comfortable asking clarifying questions.
  • Ability to work independently, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and complete projects in a timely manner
