At LCRA, we are seeking to find an ambitious candidate for our open Plant Water Tech Sr position! This senior-level position will join a team of highly skilled technicians in process water production and treatment, boiler water treatment, flue gas desulfurization and environmental monitoring. In this role you will reside in a coal-fired power plant environment with an opportunity to further develop competence through on the job training. You will be trusted to:

* Upon completion of required on the job training, monitor and operate all equipment in assigned area of

responsibility.

* Operate and monitor raw water treatment, pre-treatment filtration, reverse osmosis, demineralization and other water production equipment

* Conduct chemical and laboratory testing for process analysis

* Maintain regulatory compliance with EPAs, NPDES and TCEQs TPDES requirements

* Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate with on-line analyzers for pH, conductivity, sodium and silica

You qualify with:

* Seven or more years of experience in chemistry related to the operation of gas or coal-fired power plants or other similar environment, such as water/wastewater treatment, environmental analysis, lab chemistry, condensate polishing and flue-gas desulfurization or other relevant experience. A degree(s) in chemistry, biology, environmental technology, engineering technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

* Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

* Class C Wastewater Systems certification

* Experience with power plant water chemistry and water treatment systems
