We have an exciting opportunity for a PowerBuilder Developer with our industry-leading client in Raleigh, NC. We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Rate: $40 - $50 / hr. w2 Responsibilities:
- enhance and maintain a mission-critical application
- Code/test data windows to replace over 100 sample test result spreadsheet formats that were coded using an outdated 3rd party software tool.
- Coding/testing bug fixes and other functional enhancements to the system.
- Design SharePoint and web-based solutions to support Preconstruction and Scoping business processes that are valuable to the transportation lifecycle
Requirements:
- 5+ years Experience as a PowerBuilder developer using PB10 or more recent versions.
- Strong SQL skills (HiCAMS uses a Sybase database but SQL skills in any database platform are acceptable)
- Strong Microsoft Suite experience, particularly Excel
- Experience with standard development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, unit & system testing, quality assurance testing as well as experience with business process transformation
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and technical skills
- Positive interpersonal skills coupled with an independent, self-motivated work ethic
- Ability to work with a custom base-class
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain business processes to IT users and IT applications to business users
Preferred Skills:
- Development experience in C#
- Development experience in Java
- Experience coding stored procedures and triggers (any database)
- Experience developing in a Visual Studio environment
- Data conversion experience
