John Hinderer Honda Powerstore is looking for a Powersports Service Technician who is able to perform diagnostics, repairs, recalls, and maintenance work on motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs. Must have previously worked as a technician. This position will also support the Parts Counter. We're looking for a candidate with high energy, drive, and a passion for the powersports industry. All wages are competitive and based on your skill level and experience.Responsibilities
- Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
- Participates in Honda-sponsored training programs, schools and events.
- Keeps abreast of Honda technical bulletins.
- Keeps shop area neat and clean.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Communicates with vendors on parts and service ETAs.
- Checks and verifies parts received.
- Scans all invoices and necessary documents into complete shop the day orders arrive.
- Assists with repair order documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years related experience and/or training.
- Honda experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
- Own tools to perform tasks required at your proficiency level.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check inclusive of drug screening.
