Job Overview: The position of Diesel Mechanic is accountable for maintenance and repair of mobile nitrogen pumpers and related cryogenic equipment to operate in a safe and reliable manor. Equipment will include Diesel/Gasoline engines, hydraulic systems, cryogenic trailers and pumps, tractor units, pick-up trucks, and safety relief systems, among others.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine preventative maintenance in the shop or field while being able to respond, diagnose, and repair unplanned mechanical events.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in compliance with the manufacturer or LSI specifications/recommendations.
- Provide ongoing and effective communication with supervisors/managers and field technicians while documenting maintenance or repairs.
- Complete required documentation, handwritten and electronic, as required for the position.
- Follow LSI's industry leading safety culture.
- Maintain equipment compliance as per equipment bulletins and alerts.
- Other functions as directed by your supervisor.
Qualifications: Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Candidate must meet all background check and drug screening requirements as set by Linde and its customers.
- 3+ years relevant experience with understanding of cryogenic pumps, transports, and related compressed gas equipment, specialized training/certifications is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a CDL Class A License with HAZMAT/Tanker endorsements.
- Effective time management skills to balance priorities and workload
- Must have strong mechanical aptitude.
- Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word/Excel as well as manufacturer diagnostic software.
- Previous experience in chemical, refining, military, or technical training environments is preferred.
Working Conditions: - This position requires outside work, lifting up to 50lbs, climbing, bending.
- Overtime and travel may be required for this position.
- Specific equipment training can be provided, and qualification level advancement opportunities are available.
