As part of our exceptional administrative staff, you will play a crucial role in providing flawless customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.Customer ServiceIn this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing them with world-class customer service. Your responsibilities will include performing check-in, check-out, and phone reception duties. You will verify insurance eligibility, collect copayments and outstanding patient balances, and schedule follow-up appointments. Additionally, you will secure prior authorizations, referrals, and appointments for specialty care and testing. Your attention to detail will be key as you reconcile daily batch and global processing to ensure accurate financial records. Your friendly and professional demeanor will shine as you answer phones and assist patients or route calls to the appropriate department.TeamworkCollaboration is at the heart of our practice, and as a Practice Assistant, you will work closely with your co-workers to achieve common goals. You will willingly share your knowledge and expertise, offering assistance as needed.   • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 - 2 years customer service experience required
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills in person and over the phone required
  • Must work well as part of a team
  • Able to multitask and prioritize work
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be detailed-oriented
  • Familiarity with clinical processes and procedures; medical terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience in Practice Management and Electronic Health Record applications a plus
  • Ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to comprehend complex orders, and stay calm during stressful situations
