*Position Overview*We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Pre-Admission Testing Nurse. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring patients are fully prepared for their operative procedures. You will coordinate with patient schedulers from providers' offices to confirm that all necessary labs, clearances, and pre-operative instructions are in place in order for the patient to safely proceed with their scheduled procedure.*Responsibilities:** Contact patients scheduled for procedures to obtain their medical history and review surgery instructions.* Obtain copies of laboratory tests, X-rays, and other pre-operative results ordered by the physician.* Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and maintain close communication with surgical schedulers.* Enter relevant information into the patient's electronic chart, ensuring accuracy and completeness.* Scan and upload necessary documents to the Electronic Medical Record system as needed.* Ensure patients have all required documentation and clearances to proceed with their scheduled operative procedures.*Requirements:** Must hold a current RN license in the state of Pennsylvania (candidates waiting to be licensed will not be considered).* Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.* Experience in a pre-admission testing role or a similar background coordinating with patient schedulers and providers' offices is highly desirable.* Should be able to understand patient medical conditions and test results well enough to determine which clearances are required prior to a procedure per the center's guidelines.* Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.* Intermediate computer proficiency is required, including the ability to scan and upload documents to EMR systems.* Strong communication skills and a friendly, dependable demeanor are essential.*Job Type:* Full-time*Expected Hours:* 30 - 40 per week*Benefits:** Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insurance*Medical Specialty:** Surgery*Physical Setting:** Outpatient*Supplemental Pay:** Overtime pay*License/Certification:** RN License in Pennsylvania (required)*Work Location:* In personJob Type: Full-timePay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 - 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceMedical Specialty:* Medical-Surgical* Orthopedics* SurgeryPhysical Setting:* Ambulatory surgery centerSupplemental Pay:* Overtime payExperience:* Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:* ACLS Certification (Required)* BLS Certification (Required)* RN License (Required)Ability to Commute:* Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
