Position Type: Classroom Support/Pre-Apprenticeship CoordinatorDate Posted: 9/30/2024Location: IU TCHS - Brandywine CampusClosing Date: Until FilledA vacancy for a grant funded Pre-Apprenticeship Coordinator position exists within the Division of Career, Technical and Customized Education of the Chester County Intermediate Unit at the Technical College High School Campuses in Chester County (centrally based in Downingtown). SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Pre-Apprenticeship Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all program- and student-related activities as directed in the grant applications and required by the pre-apprenticeship office. Oversee and monitor all pre-apprenticeship activities, reporting and monitoring as required by the grant or pre-apprenticeship office of the Commonwealth. Coordinate and complete all accountability reporting as per grant, local, federal and state guidelines All other duties as defined by the Supervisor ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:
- Establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with subordinates, supervisors, co-workers, and other personnel of school districts and outside agencies.
- Ability to identify, prioritize and problem solve using sound judgment.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from colleagues, parents, students, teachers, school administrators, and the general public in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate student demographic and achievement data and apply findings to program improvement efforts
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in related field required.
- Competent computer skills required.
- Current (within one year) police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
SALARY: PROJECT BAND 12, ($26.36 - $32.95 per hour) This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollment and pending no change in grant funding. CCIU is not responsible for the salary if the grant is not funded. SCHEDULE: 6.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, 200 days per year.
