Position Details:Summary of Duties:The Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Operations Coordinator manages the operationalization of the Year 1 and Year 2 medical student curriculum. The Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Co-Director to provide strategic oversight of items such as the course development process and scheduling management. The incumbent will support the triage of student, faculty, and staff concerns and serve as a resource to faculty, relating to curriculum design and development.The Pre-Clerkship Curriculum Operations Coordinator will oversee the continuous quality improvement of the Pre-Clerkship curriculum, have independent day-to-day implementation of the policies and procedures of the Pre-Clerkship Curriculum, and guide alignment with accreditation requirements and best educational practices. This role will be supervised by the Manager, Office of Curriculum, and provide supervision for the Year 1 and Year 2 Curriculum Specialists, with delegated authority to function as second in command to the Manager.

Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional Requirements:- Specialty: three (3) years of work experience in instructional design, curriculum, instruction, education, health sciences, business or office operations or administration or other field given context of work experience.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office including Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and positively in a diverse team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to details, organized, and multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree in related field.
- Previous work experience at an institution of higher education.
- Experience working with diverse faculty, students and staff.
- Student services experience in admissions, curriculum development, instructional design, advising, and/or recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and leadership, including the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations.
