Typical Schedule: This is a full-time position. Typical for this position are daily business hours Monday through Friday, 8 am until 5pm. Some evenings and weekends may be necessary to serve the College and department's needs. Purpose: To lead in articulation and recruitment for Dual Enrollment, Cabrini Scholars, build community relationships, and pre-college summer programs. Also to assist with all phases of the recruitment and enrollment of new students to Holy Cross College, including, but not limited to: regional travel, representing Holy Cross College to high school counselors, prospective students and parents; recruiting students and cultivating relationships with guidance counselors while assisting students to meet their professional goals and to live lives of purpose and integrity. Essential Job Duties:
- Plan, manage and conduct recruitment and counseling activities for dual enrollment, Cabrini Scholars, Cross & Anchor, and Saints & Scholars pre-college summer programs, and any other pre-college programming added by the College.
- Connect and partner with the Director of Admissions, the Director of CLPE, and the Academic Director of the Education Program on recruitment, events, and community outreach.
- Develop and maintain communication with prospective students, parents and school counselors throughout the recruitment cycle.
- Assist with the planning, organization, and execution of both on- and off-campus admissions programs and community events regarding recruitment to Holy Cross College.
- Assist in the development of articulation agreements to aid in recruitment efforts at public, Catholic, and private schools and with home-school parents.
- Facilitate partnerships with student focused community programs - La Casa, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club etc.
- Attend required events such as College Fairs, Preview Days, Admitted Student Days, etc.
- Coordinate in-house mailings of recruitment invites and literature to prospective students.
- Organize presentations to Michiana high schools to recruit appropriate candidates for dual enrollment, Cabrini Scholars, pre-college summer programs. Meet with prospective students, parents, and counselors to share program information and address inquiries.
- Plan and organize our high school counselor/education night with our Assistant Director of events
- Support students in navigating the enrollment process for dual enrollment, Cabrini Scholars, and precollege summer programming
- Provide tours and information sessions to prospective students and families.
- Other duties to meet the needs of the department and College.
Minimum Education, Skills, and Ability:
- Bachelor's degree required. Background in K-12 school system, as well as college environment is preferred.
- Positive human relations skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to make presentations to small and large groups.
- Organizational and computer skills (particularly Microsoft Office).
- Ability to analyze data and write clearly.
- Self-motivated
