My clients expertise spans the entire construction lifecycle, from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring that every project is executed efficiently, on time, and within budget.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Construction Planning and Coordination:
    • Oversee all pre-construction activities for industrial projects, including budget development, scheduling, and risk analysis.
    • Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Lead site evaluations and assessments, coordinating with the design team to ensure constructability and cost efficiency.
  • Cost Estimating and Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for all pre-construction phases.
    • Review and analyze design documents to prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project-related costs.
    • Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Scheduling and Timeline Development:
    • Develop detailed pre-construction schedules, including milestone dates for design, procurement, and other key activities.
    • Collaborate with project managers and the operations team to align pre-construction timelines with overall project deadlines.
  • Procurement and Subcontractor Coordination:
    • Assist in the prequalification and selection of subcontractors and suppliers for industrial projects.
    • Prepare bid packages, review proposals, and provide recommendations for subcontractor and vendor selection.
    • Ensure all necessary permits, regulatory approvals, and insurance requirements are obtained for project commencement.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, including construction delays, budget overruns, and safety concerns.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.
    • Communicate potential issues to senior leadership, providing solutions and recommendations to address them.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain effective communication with clients, project teams, and stakeholders throughout the pre-construction phase.
    • Prepare and present pre-construction reports and documentation to clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Ensure customer expectations are clearly understood and met, addressing any questions or concerns.

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pre-construction management, preferably in industrial construction.
    • Proven experience in managing large-scale industrial projects, including manufacturing, warehousing, and other commercial/industrial facilities.
    • Strong understanding of industrial construction processes, materials, and technology.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Expertise in cost estimating, budgeting, and financial management for construction projects.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • In-depth knowledge of construction codes, safety standards, and regulations.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
    • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project, or similar tools).
