POSITION: Batch Plant Lead

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
SCHEDULE: Onsite; Tuesday - Friday 9 AM to 5 PM; Possibility to be moving to Monday - Thursday 9 AM to 5 PM
- Schedule depends on production & their schedule, so the candidate needs to be flexible on hours
- Rare possibility to work on Saturdays if there is a deadline or emergency on the job site
RATE: $23-26/hour (Eligible for OT)
MUST HAVES:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of previous experience in the precast environment
- Comfortable being a hands-on employee
- Ability to manage/supervise a team of 4-6 individuals

DAY TO DAY: Insight Global is hiring a Batch Plant Lead for a large precast concrete company in San Antonio, TX. The Batch Plant Lead will be primarily responsible for supervising and providing correct mixes and quantities of concrete in a timely manner for the production team. This individual will report to the Batch Plant Supervisor and will have a team of 4-6 individuals who will report directly to them. The Batch Plant Lead is in charge of managing those 4-6 individuals' scheduling, monitoring all material in the batch plant (rock, sand, cement, chemicals, etc.), coordinating all bed timings and will be responsible for the 4 trucks associated with the plant itself. Other responsibilities include maintenance for the batch plant and cleanliness of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concrete Production: Communicate with prestress and QC personnel to determine the desired concrete formula and the number of cubic yards required. Call up the formula from the computer, enter the required number of cubic yards, and adjust moisture content as necessary. Monitor the computer screen to ensure all components are weighed and mixed as per the formula. Inject steam into the mixture as required to batch concrete at the requested temperature.
- Equipment Operation: Direct Equipment Operators to the appropriate mixer and discharge concrete into delivery equipment & mix concrete manually when small amounts are needed.
- Supervision: Oversee a team of 4-6 individuals, managing their schedules and ensuring timely and accurate production of concrete.
- Maintenance: Clean the mixer and work area daily, including chipping and greasing as necessary. Substitute for Equipment Operators to deliver concrete as needed.
