1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:00 pm, Overtime As NeededPay Starts at $20+/hr.Precision AssemblerMocksville, NC - OnsiteJob SummaryPerforms all mechanical assembly operations of sub-assemblies and package assembly, all sensitive and very detailed assembly operations, some electrical, instrumentation and control elements of the package, and functional test set up including in-process quality checks and tests.ResponsibilitiesPerforms disassembly and rebuild of air ends, or sensitive rotating assemblies.Reads and interprets engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material, and quality control documents.Takes responsibility for quality and work content performed in the applicable operation by signing off on the appropriate documentation prior to indexing to the next step in process.Insures that all tools used in performing job duties are within calibration, as stated on calibration sticker. Where discrepancies arise, immediate notification of supervisor occurs.Maintains clean, orderly, and safe work area and follow all safety rules and procedures.Uses problem solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly). Shall be capable of performing disassembly and rebuild of air ends, or sensitive rotating assembliesExhibits a high degree of manual dexterity with great attention to detail and workmanshipUse of calipers, dial, indicators, precision measuring devices.Basic QualificationsStrong problem solving skills (identify problems and respond correctly).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, bills of material and quality control documents.Ability to use correct tooling, fixturing and equipment to perform work tasks to engineering specifications.Ability to function in a flexible team environment.Computer SkillsWorking Conditions and Physical FactorsRequired to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear continuously for 8-10 hours per day and occasionally on a sixth working day.Pulling/pushing of tubs, up to a maximum of 50lbs.Regularly lift up to 35 pounds.The employee will be required to use hoist systems if weight is above these amounts.Exposed to moving mechanical parts, machining oils/coolants from handling coated parts and to coolant/oil mists which are below OSHA's permissible levels of exposure.Normal noise in areas exposed to could range from 75-87 dBA; hearing protection is optional in these areas.Degree Required & Experience TypeHigh School Diploma or GED requiredFormal training from technical or trade school is desired by not required.
