This job was posted by : For more information, please see: Responsibilities \ In support of R&D hardware projects, the Precision Parts Cleaner will clean and deburr high-value mechanical parts in preparation for assembly of prototype/devices for aerospace and outer space applications. Examples of work done by Creare include miniature vacuum pumps for the Mars Rover and turbomachines/cryocoolers for the Hubble Space Telescope. The Precision Parts Cleaner has a critical role to ensure all delicate, precision-machined parts are deburred and cleaned to the required standards. Extreme focus, patience, and a steady hand to manipulate hand tools are essential. Previous experiences in watchmaking, electronics assembly, or detailed artistic pursuits are relevant.
