Job Description:

POSITION PURPOSE

The Prefab Associate is critical to completing the pre-fabrication of materials as required to R.T. Moore quality standards as assigned by the pre-fabrication supervisor.

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prefabrication (100%)

  • Thoroughly complete the pre-fabrication of tub and tub shower valves in a manner consistent with RTMC standards ensuring all connections are leak free and valve is operational
  • Accurately complete testing and tagging of temporary sump pumps per prescribed methods; keep sump pumps organized and stored in designated location
  • Precisely measure, cut and thread black pipe to field crew's specifications
  • Systematically ensure requisition of materials
  • Steadily complete prefabrication of other components as required

CRITICAL SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • A high school diploma or GED is required
  • No prior experience necessary, warehouse and forklift experience a plus
  • Proactive drive for accomplishing tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer skills necessary
  • Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Aptitude for prioritizing, planning, and problem-solving
  • Preference for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to do the following activities for most of the work day: stand, walk, use hands or fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, see, talk and hear. 

  • Must be able to climb or balance regularly.
  • Near constant lifting or carrying of items of various weight, typically up to 10 pounds most of the day. Capable of lifting at least 100 pounds on occasion. 

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers and perceive attributes of objects and materials. 

  • Primarily a physical position performing some strenuous daily activities of a physical nature
  • Minimum travel
