Kikka sushi is looking for energetic, hardworking, dependable, team players that will provide great customer service in the Whole Foods located at: 33 Vervalen St, Closter, NJ 07624. This is a Full time job working between 7am – 4pm, (including 1 hour unpaid meal break), 5 days a week, weekdays off. The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and made-to-order sushi per the customer's request, prepare other Asian foods, prep food and clean while helping customers in a fast paced environment. Don't know how to make sushi, don't worry we will teach you! To thrive in this job you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn't an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English. Pay is $17.00 per hour, no tips Qualifications: Be 18 years of age or older Must be able to work all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays Must know what sushi is (hint: it's not just raw fish) Be able to provide great customer service skills Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (1 bag of rice).
