Job Description:

The Prep Cook is an essential part of our team and is responsible for helping to deliver an unforgettable experience through proper execution of dishes and recipes to present a Craveable, Instagramable, and memorable dining experience that will keep guests talking and wanting to come back for more. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Carrying out any requests and orders from the Chefs.
  • Preparation of all requested items assigned by Chef/Sous Chefs.
  • Storing, labeling, and rotating prepped items properly in accordance with health department regulations and company standards
  • Minimize waste and recycle as much as possible, always communicating with the Chefs.
  • Reporting any issues regarding product consistency, deliveries, quality to Chefs and Purchaser.
  • Must be able to execute all menu items for assigned stations.
  • Has a complete understanding of work safety and emergency procedures.
  • Full understanding of how to read food tickets.
  • Fully understand the importance of and can utilize standardized recipe cards and proper use of tools and techniques.
  • Ensure that all food products are prepared to always maintain our quality standards consistently resulting in positive feedback.
  • Maintain expected timeliness of orders from the kitchen to the dining room.
  • Ensure that all given tasks are completed daily before you leave for the day and that you communicate your departure with the Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef on duty.
  • Assure that all daily cleaning and organizational standards are met consistently throughout the day in both storage and production areas.
  • Make sure entire kitchen is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner as mandated by Health Department and TOG Corporate.
  • Assist other kitchen staff to perform cleaning, cooking, prepping, and receiving, when needed.
  • Perform all duties while following all health department sanitation requirements.
  • Complete any other task given with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism.
  • Maintain good communication standard with teammate and management
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assure that all daily cleaning and organizational standards are met consistently throughout the day in both storage and production areas.
  • Fixing family meal twice daily, recycling items as much as possible and guided by the Chefs instructions.
  • Complete any other task given with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism.
Job Requirements:
  • Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
  • Able to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours while maintaining a fun and positive attitude
  • Must be able to work flexible hours
  • Must be able to work 8+ hours/day.
