We seek part-time and full-time prep cooks to join our culinary team. We offer our staff a comprehensive salary/benefits package, including a generous PTO policy and weekend shift differentials. As a prep cook, you will be crucial in maintaining our high food quality and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include Preparing cold entrees, appetizers, salads, and desserts, following preparation sheets, and providing recipes for dining venues, health care centers, and special functions. This includes accompaniments and garnishes as appropriate, with special attention to eye appeal/presentation. Responsibilities include:
- Prepares food using proper food handling techniques, utilizing techniques that comply with safety and sanitation rules and practices. Completes required food temperature checks. Tastes all prepared food items.
- Completes preparation records and properly stores food items at the meal service's close.
- Cleans work area and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of six months of server training and/or food service experience required; actual cooking experience preferred.
- Must be self-directed and dependable.
- Must be a team player with a can-do attitude!
