Kikka sushi is looking for energetic, hardworking, dependable, Prep Cook / Line Cook team member that will provide great customer service in our new location in the University of Washington campus at District Market Alder, 1315 NE Campus Parkway, Seattle, WA 98105 or By George Café, 4060 George Washington Ln, Seattle, WA 98195. Interviews will be done at the By George Café, 4060 George Washington Ln, Seattle, WA 98195 Full time with benefits, 5 days a week, with weekdays off, (must also be available on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), working between 5am – 7pm, (9 hour shifts including an hour unpaid lunch break). This is a new location, work days and times may be adjusted based on the business once it has settled. The Prep Cook / Line Cook team member will make sushi in advance and per customer's request. No experience making sushi, no problem we will teach you! The team member will also do prep work, prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment while helping customers in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment. To thrive you must show up to work on time and as scheduled, have a flexible morning and evening availability, be willing to work hard (this isn't an easy job), be patient (it takes about 3 months to get comfortable with the job), must be willing to stick it out (not quit after a few days or weeks) and be able to work with multi-cultural and multi-lingual co-workers, some who barely speak English. Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on the food handling and sushi making experience. Per Washington Equal Pay and Opportunities Act: Pay range for the Job in Seattle is: $20.00 to $25.00.
