Job Description:
This position is a BCTGM Local 19 union position.JOB SUMMARYThis person is responsible for properly preparing, cooking, baking, and storing food items that are prepared in advance to establish consistent yields and food quality. He/she shall prepare all food items in accordance with Parkhurst Dining recipes, standards and procedures under strict sanitary conditions following ServSafe and HAACP guidelines.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare all food items according to production sheets.
  • Follow exact portion specifications.
  • Set up salad bar, condiments, and soup and bread station, ensuring that they are cleaned and stocked throughout the service period.
  • Prepare food needed for catering functions.
  • Follow the cycle menu and complete production records.
  • Complete all prep work for next service period.
  • Rotate refrigerated products and dry good products in accordance with company-approved policies and procedures, always using the FIFO method.
  • Maintain the proper temperatures for all foods and coolers and freezers.
  • Wrap, label, date and store all food items properly to maintain freshness and quality under strict sanitary guidelines.
  • Complete product cooling charts.
  • Assist our guests, as needed, in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Operate and clean all equipment used in the kitchen.
  • Follow cleaning schedule as provided by management, using clean as you go techniques.
  • Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and
  • supplies needed.
  • Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
  • Follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards. Uses Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
  • Assist fellow team members at every opportunity.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
  • Assist in other kitchen areas when needed and asked by fellow employees and management.
