At Little Learners, we emphasize learning through play and one-on-one interactions, ensuring each child's needs are met in a fun, individualized environment.We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Preschool Assistant Director to join our team of kind and dedicated educators.What We Offer:Sign-On Bonus up to $500!Competitive compensationGenerous Paid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysFree medical insurance after 30 days of full-time employment, following the first of the monthDental and Vision insurance available after 30 days of full-time employment, following first of the monthChildcare tuition discountEducational and professional development opportunitiesEmployer-paid life insurance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Stipends for supplemental insurance programsRetirement planning (403b) with employer matchingPet InsurancePosition Information:Salary: $17-$20 per hourHours: Must be available to open and/or close the facilityJob Type: Full-TimeMinimum Qualifications:At least 21 years of ageMust have or be able to obtain an Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) Fingerprint Clearance Card Level One (unrestricted)High school diploma or GED with 3 credit hours in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or 30 hours of training in early childhood, child development, or a closely related field; orHigh school diploma or GED with 12 months of experience and a NAC/CDA/CCP/CC or 24 post-high school credit hours (including at least 6 hours in ECE, child development, or a closely related field); or6 months of experience and an Associate's degree in early childhood, child development, or a related field; or3 months of experience and a Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child development, or a related fieldKey Responsibilities:Supervise and manage preschool teachers and childcare workers, overseeing the daily operations of the facilityEnsure compliance with state regulations and internal policiesAssist in developing and implementing plans and goals for the preschoolSupport the Director in creating and maintaining a positive and engaging learning environmentCoordinate and supervise daily operations alongside the DirectorStep in to handle daily center duties when staff members are absentConduct tours and provide information to prospective familiesAssist staff with implementing developmentally appropriate practices in Early Childhood EducationSupervise opening and closing staff, ensuring the security of the facilitySupport teachers with behavior management and classroom activitiesKeep inventory of supplies and assist in supply managementMaintain open communication with the Director regarding student safety and careAssist in staffing responsibilities, including hiring, training, and evaluationsHelp schedule events and community outreachObserve and evaluate classrooms according to Little Learners policies and provide constructive feedback to staffAttend and participate in staff meetings, center events, and parent/customer meetings as neededHow to Apply:If you're passionate about working with children and want to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply to become part of our team at New Horizon Little Learners.
