DescriptionLooking for a FUN part-time job that is rewarding and fulfilling?You can make a lasting impact in the life of a child with special needs!Would you like to work a short shift in the morning or early afternoon?What:
  • We're hiring Part-Time Preschool Assistants.
  • Job Function: Be an Aide to a student with a disability - helping them learn, socialize, play, do arts/crafts, and participate.
  • Job Title: Inclusion Support Staff.
  • The class will have a Teacher and TA. Your focus is on supporting one child 1:1.
Where:
  • Roselle, Glen Ellyn, Carol Stream and the surrounding area.
  • Locations: Park District Pre-Schools
  • You could work at various schools or just at one location.
Hours/Schedule:
  • We're flexible - even if your availability is limited.
  • Weekdays (Mon - Fri); but you select which days are best for you.
  • Morning or Afternoon: A majority are in the a.m. Currently, the only afternoon is on Wednesdays.
  • Some students need assistance all 5 days (Mon-Fri), while others only attend 1, 2, or 3 days a week. (ie: Mon/Wed).
  • Hours vary per school. Shifts are around 2 to 3 hours long. IE: 9a - 11a or 12p - 3p.
  • Candidates must be available for at least 2 hours during the window of 8:30a - 3p, for at least 1 day a week (or preferably more).
  • Depending on your availability and willingness, you could work anywhere between 2 to 15 hours weekly.
  • The School Year Ends in mid May of 2025. We ask that you commit for the duration of the semester or full school year.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in providing direct support to individuals with special needs.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Candidates must be Age 16+, with access to transportation.
