Our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and organized leader to join their premier preschool in Manhattan (Murray Hill) as Director of Curriculum. This position allows you to mesh your experience in Early Childhood Education along with your commitment to quality academic programming to help guide a passionate team of Early Childhood Education professionals.

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $120,000/year base salary pending qualifications and professional Early Childhood Education experience
  • Bonus potential up to $20,000/year based on staff retention and development, enrollment growth and retention, and parent/family satisfaction

Job Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and oversee all aspects of the preschool's daily operations including staffing and curriculum integrity
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for children.
  • Staff Leadership and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities to ensure a high-quality teaching team.
  • Curriculum and Program Development: Work with educational staff to develop and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Parent Communication: Foster positive relationships with parents and families, maintaining open and transparent communication channels.

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED Certification: A valid and verifiable NYS teaching certification
  • REQUIRED Teaching Experience: At least 2-years of Lead Teacher experience in a licensed early education facility working with children 5-years-old and younger
  • REQUIRED Leadership Experience: At least 2-years of continuous experience as a Director in a licensed early education facility with at least 100 enrolled students and at least 30 staff
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • Must meet background check eligibility
