Job Summary Under general direction, fulfills the role of Preschool Site Supervisor and teacher as defined by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations. Oversees the daily operation of the child development center where assigned. The liaison between Early Learning Program Central Administration and the District or Special Education Site Administrator. Organizes and conducts parent education and parent involvement activities. Requirements / Qualifications Required Qualifications: -Education and Experience: -Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education -Hold a valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, Child Development Site Supervisor Permit -Completed coursework must include, with a grade C or better, in at least one of the following core areas: -Child/Human growth and development -Child Family and community or Child and Family Relations -ECE curriculum course -Possession of three (3) semester units or equivalent quarter units in administration and supervision of child care and development programs, and two (2) semester units or equivalent quarter units in adult supervision -Two (2) years experience with preschool children in a group care setting (350 days of three hours or within four years, must include at least 100 days of supervising adults in a child care and - development program) -One (1) year experience supervising in an early childhood setting Licenses and Certifications: -Possess an appropriate California Driver's License with evidence of insurability -Attain and maintain Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification in compliance with Title 22 (8 hours health and safety training) -Provide proof of 8 hours of training in preventative health practices and nutrition, within forty-five days of employment
