Free To Be Me is a privately owned Christian Child Care Center who has been operating in Livermore for more then 37 years. We care for infants, preschool and school-age children. It is our desire for all children to feel safe, loved and accepted by their teachers and peers. It is our mission to create an environment in which teachers and parents establish a mutual trust. By doing so, together we can meet the needs of the whole child according to the child's development (physically, socially, cognitively, and emotionally). This is a Full-time on-site role for a creative loving preschool or Infant teacher who is a team player who will help foster the love for learning in our children. Your roll would be part of a team that collaborates to insure age appropriate activities and curriculum that meets the standards of Quality Counts of California. The Teacher will be responsible for supervising children ensuring their safety, promoting positive social and emotional growth, contributing to a clean and creative learning environment and encouraging kids to explore and learn through curiosity and play.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or degree in ECE or a related field
  • Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
  • Knowledge of child development, age-appropriate teaching methods, and social-emotional learning
  • Ability to create lesson plans and curriculum
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with children and parents
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • Pesticide Training Certificate
  • Fingerprint and background clearance
  • Ability to meet physical requirements for working with children, including standing, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive learning environment for all children
