Spencer Valley School District is recruiting a Preschool Teacher. Under administrative direction the Preschool Teacher provides supervision, care and instruction to students, prepares and organizes classroom activities and materials for the assigned program and child/student age group. Assigned programs may include State Preschool Program (CSPP) or State Child Care and Development program for infants and toddlers (CCTR). Positions in this classification may be designated as Head Teacher depending upon assignment.

This position requires: Valid CPR certification as issued by an American Red Cross or an American Heart Association-approved program Proof of required immunizations, including measles and pertussis vaccinations. Position requires annual influenza shot or 'opt out' statement. Completion of mandated reporter training per AB 1207 *At time of hire, proof of required immunizations, including measles and pertussis vaccinations, and influenza shot are required. EDUCATION: Sufficient college units required to obtain a Child Development Permit as issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing; or Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to sufficient college units required to obtain a Child Development Permit and two (2) years of experience working with infant, toddler and/or preschool-aged children in a licensed early learning and care center or comparable group childcare program. EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience working with infant, toddler and/or preschool-aged children in a licensed early learning and care center or comparable group childcare program. Employment with the Spencer Valley School District is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer background check including FBI and Child Abuse Index, and physical exam, which includes a drug and alcohol screening.
