We are currently seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant team. Duties & Responsibilities:
* Oversee and support preschool classrooms, working closely with other teachers to ensure consistency in curriculum delivery, classroom management, and student engagement.
* Assist the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans that meet the individual needs of each child while aligning with the school's curriculum.
* Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrative staff to ensure smooth transitions between classrooms and to create a cohesive learning environment.
* Help mentor and guide to teaching assistants and support staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork.
* Communicate with families to provide updates on student progress and development.
* Actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications:
* Educational background with 12-semester units or 18-quarter early childhood education units covering areas such as child development, family and community, or program/curriculum development, OR a bachelor's degree in Child Development.
* Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred.
* A team player who can collaborate with other educators to foster a supportive and enriching learning environment.
