The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Prescriber Documentation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Supporting the collection of physician documents as required.
  • Providing a high level of customer service in a competitive market.
  • Reviewing and analyzing payer-specific requirements and coverage criteria to determine required physician documentation.
  • Reviewing documentation (order forms, medical records, prescriptions, operative reports, history, and physicals) as needed for physician identification.
  • Escalating to customer or field personnel as needed to aid in obtaining physician documentation required for billing. This could include home health agencies, patients, hospitals/facilities, physicians.
  • Participating in work activities deemed suitable and assigned by management.
  • Maintaining status for all compliance and other required training courses.
  • Conforming to, supporting, and enforcing all Company policies and procedures.
  • Utilizing keyboarding repetitively over 95% of the time and making phone inbound/outbound calls 80% of the time.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher AND one (1) year of experience making outbound calls to and receiving inbound calls from health professionals.

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • One (1) year of experience in sales and/or collections.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a medical environment.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records systems to access and update patient information.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA regulations and other compliance standards governing patient privacy and healthcare billing practices.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience working in a post-acute care setting including Home Health Agencies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Wound Care Centers or with providers in this sector.
  • Heath Care Background and Medical knowledge
  • Skills include analytical thinking, prioritization, clear communication, persuasion and negotiation, attention to detail, maintain accuracy while processing billing information and documentation, organizational, managing work efficiently, and meeting deadlines

Work location: Remote from the San Antonio, TX area or the Charlotte, NC area

Travel: May include up to 2% domestic

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $42,715 - $52,208, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
