Chief of Staff to President, New York City Aon is seeking a Chief of Staff supporting the President. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the President to ensure successful execution of short and long-term goals aligned to the firm's 3x3 Plan and the integration of NFP with Aon. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, executing on strategic plans, implementing change management, facilitating prioritization of key initiatives, executive communication, and accelerating initiative completion. This role will report directly to the President and work alongside other direct reports and leadership teams of the President. This role will be responsible for prioritizing initiatives and leveraging global teams to accelerate outcomes. This role is based in New York City. What the day will look like The Chief of Staff will be responsible for leading an evolving scope of tasks based on the following core responsibilities: Accountable for identifying the President's priorities, strategically aligning their time with these priorities, and revisiting them regularly to assess progress. Serves as a sounding board to the President, providing objective perspective to issues/responses extending across the operating model. Lead through influence on a variety of initiatives aligned to the 3x3 Plan Facilitate development and measurements of goals and objectives across a variety of initiatives.. Act as a thought partner, responsible for brainstorming & identifying solutions to challenges. Drive development, execution, continuous improvement, and adoption of standards, methods, tools, and best practices. Liaise and partner with key Solution Line, Region and Shared Services leaders (ABS, Finance, People Org, Marketing and Communication, and Legal) on a regular basis. Drive cross organizational projects and programs of significant scale and complexity. Manage Executive/Leadership Team meetings, set agenda and drive performance of key action items. Support talent strategy by sponsoring organizational development initiatives. Drive central communication efforts: drafting communications, coordinating across appropriate channels and teams. Supports the function's financial activities, including the budgeting process, identifying risks and opportunities, ongoing tracking/reporting, etc. Continuously building knowledge around a variety of company initiatives – including knowledge and close working relationships with colleagues, clients and markets and a deep understanding of Aon and its capabilities. Skills and experience that will lead to success Displaying Aon United behaviors and understanding of Aon 3X3 Plan strategy to drive value through our current operating model. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong public speaking and leading group presentations. Consulting skills: Identify organization needs and clearly articulates the problem to be solved; recognizes challenges and barriers to solving them and assembles internal resources to achieve the desired client outcome. Financial acumen: Builds strong knowledge of financials across the company and work with Chief Financial Officer(s) to identify opportunities to improve results. Team management: strong influencing skills; ensures progress for all initiatives and creates alignment of internal teams on related workstreams. Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize teamwork, multi-task across assignments and delegate appropriately. Proven tr ack record of driving strategic initiatives and working in cross functional teams At least 10 years of experience leading teams with experience across a variety of functions. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $275,000 - $350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in Aon's annual incentive plans in addition to base salary. The amount of any incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
