Overview Directs operations through a team of regional and office managers. Ensures increasing levels of patient and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of the overall operations. Responsible for full P&L and delivering revenue growth and profitability for assigned regions; to include, strategic planning and execution, driving operational excellence, people development, driving business outcomes, and standardization. Work in conjunction with Dental Directors and Chief Clinical Officers to help plan strategies for regions they are responsible for. Coordinate business, account, and marketing activities with sales and marketing leadership. Interact on strategic imperatives and execution with key senior and executive leadership. This leader drives his/her business through a focus on the following key result areas which include but are not limited to revenue and EBITDA, Specialty revenue and EBITDA, scheduling proficiency, staffing and retention, referral growth, and contribution margin across all offices. Responsibilities Manages policy development in the areas of quality, cost reduction, safety, and patient satisfaction. Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Ensures compliance with organizational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety. Determines operational head count needs and ensures compliance with organizational standards. Identify, communicate, and drive operational excellence. Implementation of capital investments and improvement projects Review operations and develop plans to meet requirements for revenue growth. Coordinate activities, such as, assessment of new business opportunities, ensuring alignment, and effective allocation of resources across sales and operations. Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. Review and approve preparation of accounting analysis for budgetary planning and implementation, production efficiency, financial reporting, and submittal for capital expenditures. Coordinate with Marketing to ensure marketing strategies result in improved patient growth. Initiate and maintain doctor relationships; expand relationships within the industry. Develop expertise in dental specialty industry trends and market insights to uncover new technologies or processes to spur growth within specialty. Manage referral program and tracking across all specialists including internal and external referrals. Identify offices with sub-optimal use of specialists and identify ways to improve (example: consolidating to specialty offices) Support field and clinical teams with identification of issues and opportunities impacting their offices; partner with teams to support improvement/growth for each. Help identify and evaluate market and industry trends that could influence DCA specialty business. Determine areas for potential efficiency in specialty workflows; develop and execute tools or technology to realize. Plan structured pilot programs for new areas of opportunity; scale across enterprise if successful. Develop & maximize programs that connect us directly with consumers and patients. Collaborate with the field leadership and dental offices to gain alignment prior to implementation of initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise to RBPs and OMs for the implementation and execution of specialty objectives in their areas. Ensure all commitments by support and field teams are met. Deliver the financial expectations through Operational excellence. Strong drive to develop RBP/OM acumen around staffing, retention, and referrals. Partner with DP/RBPs for regular office visits to support, achieve, and be accountable for overall regional and division goals. Takes responsibility for actions, outcomes, and results, and holds oneself and others to high standards of performance. Creates an environment that helps to remove obstacles, via collaboration, which are presenting the teams from delivering financial outcomes. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. Qualifications Bachelors degree in business, finance, or another related field required, masters preferred. Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience in a leadership role within a healthcare setting. Qualifications/Training: Direct P&L experience for a healthcare service organization Experience in developing/implementing national operational plans focused on delivering increased bottom-line performance. Project management skills; ability to prioritize. Ability to engage, internally and externally.
