Position Overview: Luther College is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as its next President. This is a pivotal moment in the College's history, as it continues to build on its long-standing tradition of academic excellence. The President will guide both the high school and university campuses, shaping the College's future through growth, innovation, and strategic planning.

With a strategic plan up for renewal in 2025, the new President will have the opportunity to steer Luther College through this next phase, ensuring the institution remains a thriving academic community that develops compassionate, critical thinkers prepared to make a difference in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Align the College's mission, values, and strategic goals addressing the needs at both campuses.
• Financial Stewardship: Oversee sustainable budgeting practices and maximize financial resources to ensure long-term institutional success.
• Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with alumni, donors, government, external partners, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
• Academic and Operational Excellence: Ensure academic programs respond to current educational needs and align with the College's mission, while modernizing operations and maintaining accreditation standards.
• Inclusivity and Cultural Integration: Promote diverse and inclusive campus environments. Foster collaboration and transparency across campuses.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Academic Leadership: A PhD is preferred, reflecting the high academic standards of the institution.
• Business Acumen: Proven experience in financial management, strategic planning, and fundraising.
• Leadership and Change Management: Expertise in guiding complex organizations through periods of change while building cohesion.
• Cultural Competence: A commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Faith-Based Values: An alignment with the College's mission, vision, and values. While a connection with the Lutheran faith is appreciated, it is not required.
