The Press Brake Operator will have extensive experience with CNC press brakes, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts. This position requires expertise in bending and forming metal materials to precise specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Press Brake Operation: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC press brake machines to form and bend sheet metal, ensuring accuracy and quality of finished products.
Blueprint & Technical Reading: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to understand product specifications, dimensions, and material requirements.
Tool Selection & Setup: Select and install appropriate tooling and dies based on the project specifications. Adjust tooling and machine settings as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for compliance with quality standards using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. Ensure parts meet required tolerances and specifications.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Report any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and best practices while operating machinery. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to reduce hazards and risks.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes.
Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, quality, and safety.
