About the role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake equipment used to form sheet metal components for electrical transformers. Your work will be integral to ensuring product quality and meeting production goals in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machines in accordance with production specifications.
- Adjust machine settings for different metal thicknesses, bends, and dimensions.
- Select and position dies, punches, and tools for the job.
- Interpret blueprints, work orders, and engineering drawings to produce precise components.
- Make necessary calculations for bending allowances and material specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues, escalating major concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus, but not required
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Lifting: Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
- Environment: Work in a facility with loud noise, extreme temperatures, and environmental stressors.
