Overview:

FAIR-RITE PRODUCTS CORP. - LOCATED IN WALLKILL, NEW YORK

We will train the right candidate to join our team to support production in the Press Room!

Basic math skills needed but no experience required!

Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities:
  • Review work orders to determine the required stock and quantity needed at each machine
  • Utilizing hand and/or powered lift trucks assist with stocking each press for upcoming jobs
  • stock should be in designated areas and organized.
  • Supply and replenish powder and refractory to all presses
  • Record and maintain inventory transactions using CMS / ERP for proper control of powders
  • Transfer pressed parts along with Work Order Packets to kiln department
  • Retrieve and transfer powder when powder supply levels are low.
  • Prepare the press for set-up, which may include draining hoppers or removing tools.
  • Must be able to conduct physical testing of incoming powder, such as bulk density test, flow test, moisture test, and sieve test
  • Retain parts and powder after testing
  • Keep powder room and powder areas neat and orderly
  • Communicate with other team members, written and/or verbally, issues concerning powder supply or general press machine functions
  • Prepare and set up materials needed for 2nd shift
  • Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary
  • Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified
  • Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • No required experience --will train right candidate

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate with a minimum of 0 3 months on the job training and or experience related to Press Department

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to comprehend work orders
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to operate CMS / ERP system
  • Ability to effectively read, write and verbally communicate in English
  • Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision
  • Requires ability to navigate through defined computer screens
